Please take notice of the special Public Hearing on August 4, 2026. This is a public hearing about the proposed Town Charter that will be placed on the ballot in November 2026 as a public referendum. Registered voters of the Town of Welaka are encouraged to attend to address their concerns to the Council prior to the first reading of an ordinance to place this item on the agenda.
Meetings held at 10:00 A.M. will recess at 12:00 P.M. if needed and will resume at 1:30 P.M. All meetings scheduled at 10:00 A.M. must adjourn no later than 5:00 P.M. If all business scheduled for that meeting has not been addressed and completed, then the Mayor will announce at the meeting what date and time a special meeting will be convened to complete the business of that meeting only.
